Our story began during a 2022 weekend getaway to Kleinmond. En route to a café, Jamie’s sudden shriek halted us: “Stop the car! There’s a kitten on the side of the road!” We slammed the brakes and scooped the tiny critter into our arms.
 

“What do we do with this?” Téa pondered. “You said you’d been wanting a pet, right?” Jamie quipped. Téa had imagined a hamster or a goldfish, but fate had other plans.

On the journey back to Stellenbosch, Jamie chuckled, “Not quite the trinket you expected to find to remember our trip by, huh?”

And so, the sassy feline was named Trinket.

Over the following year, Téa and Jamie’s bond deepened. Graduating—Téa in Journalism, Jamie in Industrial Psychology—they melded Téa’s love of writing with Jamie’s organizational prowess.

In our tale, curiosity didn’t kill the cat; instead, it brought us closer, inspiring fresh ways to uplift small businesses. Plus, it led us to adopt an actual cat.

Our team grew even stronger when Lisa Tredoux came on board. Téa and Lisa go way back to their university days, where the two navigated the hilarity of newfound freedom while living in a Catholic residence. Late-night chats in cramped rooms, sneaky (but harmless) escapades, and plenty of nuns to dodge made for a charming and unforgettable friendship.

Lisa, an actor, children’s book author, illustrator, and SFX makeup artist, now leads our content creation and influencer marketing. Her creative flair and deep connections in the South African entertainment industry allow her to craft authentic, engaging stories that bring brands to life
